Ylang-ylang

The genus Cananga contains two species ranging through tropical Asia into Australia. Cananga odorata, a native of Malaysia, is now cultivated in many other tropical areas of the world and is often grown as a commercial crop to create the perfume known as ylang-ylang. The flowers can be yellow or more green in form, and the green-black berries also form a very useful decorative addition to the sugarcrafter’s repertoire.
